Principal Hayley-anna Dancy trained at a professional dance college in Royal Academy of Dance, and I.S.T.D Modern, Tap, Ballet and National. Hayley also has also been awarded a masters for Cheerleding under the NCSSE, and is a member of the British Gymnastic Association.
Hayley-anna set up Red Shoes Cheerleading Academy in April 2005 and they began competing in November 2005 at The Winter Gardens, Blackpool, each squad worked really hard and were lucky and returned with 8 trophys, one for each routine, since then we have creeped even higher up the ranks and now have 17 trophies to our name. We are all so proud of them.
Then in September 2005 Hayley-anna took over Clifton Arts Theatre School (CATS), a decision was taken to keep this name and combine the two schools into one, hence
cats with red shoes was born. Since this time students have already entered for examinations in ballet, tap and modern where all have received good results with a 100% pass rate. The academy have been invited two years running to to take part in Hit's at the Opera House and also to perform at carnivals and other local events, a credit to the cheer and dance academy. 
We also have an annual show 'SHOWTIME' casting at least 100 of our dancers and cheerleaders. All children perform in 3 shows over the two days and have a great time.
Our aim is not only to produce an entertaining show but also to raise money for charity and give the students a chance to perform on stage and gain more confidence.
In our first year (March 2006) we raised £300.00 for Rock FM's Charity 'Help a Local Child,' then once again in 2007 (February) we raised £329.50. We could not do this with our the dedication and hard work from all our students and parents/volenteers.
We have also rececently added gymnastics to the curriculum which has proven to be very popular among our students.
The dance school has with in a region of 200+ students and growing at a rapid rate.
We encourage a very friendly and happy enviroment, all new pupils are welcomed into the school and soon make lots of new friends.
